Hal's Box
Hal Brooks is a friend an consumate box-maker from Texas. This box is based on a design developed by Hal that results in the unique bow-tie pattern at the corners. While Hal calculates his cuts out carefully and knows just where the bow-tie will appear, I tend to be more free-form, cut away and be surprised at what happens. This particular box combines Oak, Walnut and Ebony. The lid is made up of over a dozen different pieces of wood, giving it contrast in color, grain and texture.
